Task Force Reproduction and Society
This Task Force aims to review and synthesize knowledge and evidence on the demography, reproductive epidemiology and health economics of fertility, in order to:
- Promote universal access to essential reproductive health care both with regard to preventive measures and treatment possibilities.
- Provide information to colleagues, citizens, policymakers and other stakeholders in Europe on the current situation and trends in fertility, infertility and underlying risk factors.
- Campaign for:
• increase public awareness concerning risk factors affecting a couple’s fecundity • a realistic perception of what can/can’t be overcome by ART • factors affecting an earlier onset of family building among young couples
- Based on current evidence to provide estimates of the consequences of reducing risk factors on infertility prevalence
Task Force PGS
At the Executive Committee meeting in September 2007 it was agreed that an answer on the question of the value of PGS was extremely important and that further studies were needed to analyse the value of PGS. EHRE would promote these studies if a much needed proposal to conduct an optimal study was developed. This resulted in the formation of the PGS Task Force.
EU Tissues & Cells Directive Task Force
The newly established ESHRE EUTCD Task Force met for the first time on 22 February 2010 at ESHRE headquarters in Brussels.
The main objectives were established as:
- ascertain the impact of the EUTCD in Europe.
- establish the highest professional standards in ART.
- encourage best collaboration with the regulators.
- provide ESHRE's National Representatives with documentation to help collaboration with the competent authorities
Task Force Management of Fertility Units
The Task Force on management of IVF units will be recognised as a forum which promotes interest in, and understanding of, relevant management topics with the aim to:
- support ESHRE members in organising their IVF units and broadening their management expertise.
- call the attention of politicians and policy makers to IVF specific management issues.
