3 POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS
The Fundacion Progreso y Salud, central core entity supporting and managing research in the Public Health System in Andalusia, under the Andalusian Regional Ministry of Health, offers three postdoctoral research positions at research centres associated to the Andalusian Regional Ministry of Health, after completion of a training stay of specialization in cellular reprogramming at the Michigan State University (USA). This call is part of the strategic objective of the Andalusian Regional Ministry of Health to strengthen, within the Public Health System in Andalusia, knowledge generating, enhancing specifically biomedical research in the field of Advanced Therapies, among them, Cellular Therapy and Regenerative Medicine. Qualification: - Be in possession of an official PhD in health sciences related studies (biology, medicine, biotechnology, biochemistry, pharmacy, chemistry or veterinary medicine) during the last five years. - Original publications as first author in the field of molecular and cell biology, published in the last 3 years in international peer-reviewed journals. - Proven experience in qRT-PCR, DNA cloning, promoters characterization, western-blot, southern-blot, animal cell culture systems and cell transfection is a must. Experience in the FISH technique and embryology will be positively valued. - Fluent in spoken and written English. - Availability to travel. - Previous stays at R & D centres abroad will be also positively valued. Additional information: - Centre for the specialization stay: Cellular Reprogramming Laboratory, Michigan State University (USA), under the supervision of Professor Cibelli. - Length of the training stay: 24 months. - Kind of aid: open-ended contract. - Characteristics of the aid: during the 24 months of the specialization stay at the MSU, the gross annual salary will be of some 30,000€. Moreover, 2,000€ will be paid every year for travel to Spain. Health insurance will also be included. - Contracts will also include the applicant’s commitment to return to a research centre of the Public Health System in Andalusia after completion of the stay. The return phase will be at least for five years. Then, the gross annual salary will be of some 40,000€, from which 20% will be received as incentive pay linked to execution of scientific production objectives. OpenAssociate Professorship (W3) in Regenerative Biomedicine

The Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster seeks to fill as soon as possible an openAssociate Professorship (W3) in Regenerative Biomedicine. Applications are solicited from candidates with a PhD-, MD- or VD-degree and with a record of internationally recognised activities in regenerative biomedicine. The position is located at the Institute for Reproductive and Regenerative Biology within the Centre for Reproductive Medicine and Andrology (CeRA). CeRA offers excellent conditions for basic research in physiology as well as cellular and molecular biology. Animal models with a broad spectrum (from newts to non-human primates) are available at the Centre providing research opportu-nities that are unique at an international level. A close cooperation with clinical andrology within the institute facilitates translational research approaches and the participation in clini-cal studies.

The successful candidate will represent in research and teaching the subject of reproductive and regenerative biology. She/He will reinforce and complement the scientific activities of the Institute for Reproductive and Regenerative Biology at the University Hospital of Münster and the key scientific aspect Reproductive and Regenerative Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine. Wanted: Visiting Highly Experienced Senior Embryologist

We are a renowned clinic in Central Delhi (Delhi-IVF and Research Centre) performing over 800 IVF cycles per annum. We have a large database of both Indian and International patients. We are looking to recruit a Senior Embryologist highly experienced in “hands-on” vitrification and single embryo transfer.

We are looking for a visiting senior embryologist who will help us fine-tune our skills.

This position may suit someone who would like a working holiday and we will welcome someone from 1-6 months.

We will cover all travelling expenses to and from India and will provide A Class accommodation board and lodging.

We will also arrange sight-seeing trips within Delhi and to Agra, Jaipur, Amritsar etc; and will ensure a memorable trip to India!

K.U.Leuven invites applications for a full-time academic position ‘Coordinator Research Laboratory Gynecology and Obstetrics’ at the Department of Women and Child. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual (m/f) with an excellent research record in an area of female reproductive pathophysiology/ who is able to teach courses on biology of reproduction and reproductive pathophysiology/dysfunction (from gamete to newborn) to students at MSc and PhD level

 

DUTIES INCLUDE

Research:

Successful candidates will support and further expand national and international research collaborations of the department. More specifically, their role is to actively support and work together with staff members of the Devision of Obstetrics Gynecology in order to achieve scientific advancement of existing research lines in the area of OB GYN (infertility, endometriosis, oncology, trophoblast invasion, fetal medicine, urogynecology, adhesion research, ….). In addition they will be expected to develop an excellent research program of their own and to achieve a scientific output that adheres to the highest international standards.

Teaching:

Accepted applicants will take on teaching responsibilities in biology of reproduction and reproductive pathophysiology/dysfunction (from gamete to newborn) in the Faculty of Medicine and/or in other faculties. They are expected to meet the K.U.Leuven standards regarding academic teachingprograms and to adhere to the K.U.Leuven’s concept of education. A commitment to quality of education as a whole is expected.

 

QUALIFICATIONS Interested candidates should hold a Ph.D. or doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences, or equivalent. Qualified candidates are expected to have an excellent research record and very good teaching and training skills, in order to contribute to the research output of the department and to the quality of its educational program. The high quality of the candidate's research should be evidenced by publications in international peer-reviewed journals. International research experience is highly appreciated.

The following specific qualifications are expected:
