Andrology

This section is dedicated to the Special Interest Group (SIG) Andrology.

The coordinator of this SIG for ESHRE is:

Dr. Roelof Menkveld

e-mail: rme@sun.ac.za

The Special Interest Group in Andrology (SIGA) is one of the larger Interest Groups in ESHRE and was started in 1992. The SIGA has arranged Pre-Congress courses and Campus Workshops, and supported the development of Andrology by development of consensus reports on Advanced Andrology methods (Human Reproduction, 1996), promoted the development of a Manual on Basic Semen Analysis (ESHRE Monographs #2, Oxford University Press, 2002), initiated a standardized course on Basic Semen Analysis, and launched a Programme for External Quality Assessment (EQA). The SIGA collaborates with other scientific andrology societies engaged by joint training courses and exchange of information about ongoing activities.

TRAINING IN CLINICAL ANDROLOGY

Answering to the increasing interest in clinical andrology the SIGA has started to arrange courses in Reproductive Andrology in collaboration with the European Academy in Andrology. Recently, a very successful course was given in Brussels. For more information click here.
