In Istanbul taxis are colored in yellow and are very easy to obtain either by stopping those on streets or by requesting one through the hotel/congress center concierges. The meter in the car applies and charges as TL, please note credit cards are not yet valid in all taxis.
Istanbul Public Transportation is efficient, convenient and safe with its large number of choices of vehicles but maybe very difficult to navigate if you do not know the language. Thus we suggest the use of taxis as they are very economically priced compared to most European cities.
