At the conclusion of this course, the participants should be able to:• Know the difference between chromosomal and DNA-based genetic diseases,as well as the different technologies to detect them• Known the basic genetic technology used in PGD• Know techniques used and aims in genetic counselling• Know the principle of microarray technology and its application• Recognise the link between genetics and male/female infertility and the implications in ART• Know how to organize a PGD centre

* “Student” applies to undergraduate, graduate and medical students, residents and post-doctoral research trainees. A letter from the Head of Department proving the participant’s student status must accompany each student registration. This letter has to be faxed to the ESHRE Central Office (+32 2 269 56 00) or sent by email (info@eshre.eu).
Deadline early registration: 24 August 2012. Registrations can only be validated and confirmed when accompanied by payment. Please make sure ESHRE receives payment by this date. Only participants who register before this date, will receive a box with the course material. Participants registered after this date will receive the same course material, but without the box.
PLEASE NOTE! The preferred methods of payment are either by bank transfer or credit card. Cheques and bank drafts will not be accepted.

All cancellations should be made in writing. An administrative fee of 25 Euro will be charged for all cancellations. Cancellations received after 7 August 2011 will not be refunded.
Participants can only obtain a certificate of attendance after completing the online evaluation. After the course, ESHRE will send an email with an URL where to complete this evaluation.
