This 2-day course aims to provide a wide view of the clinical and laboratory ART practice and the way this has been shaped by the European Tissues and Cell Directive.
The first day is covering the multiple facets of ART practice from patient selection and risks to patient and offspring to laboratory good practice, safety and quality in ART. The day will complete with a general view of ART practice touching on the need to certify ART units, a detailed understanding of the legal and ethical implications of the EUTC Directive, validation of laboratory equipment and the topical and relevant aspect of vigilance in ART.
The second day is dedicated to hands–on workshops to cover practical steps in implementing the Directive and a comprehensive guide on how to effectively prepare for the inspection process.
• Identify the responsibilities of ART units from the perspective of the EUTCD• Recognise risks associated with the practice of ART• Discuss issues related to quality and safety from the EUTCD perspective• Identify the legal and ethical implications of the Directive• Understand regulatory issues like training, validation of equipment and vigilance in ART• Have the opportunity to share expertise during the 2 workshops introducing practical steps in the implementation of the Directive

Onsite registration fees (from 31 August 2012 onwards):1. Members of ESHRE = 200 Euro2. Non-members of ESHRE = 350 Euro3. Student members of ESHRE = 150 Euro4. Student non-members of ESHRE* = 250 Euro
* “Student” applies to undergraduate, graduate and medical students, residents and post-doctoral research trainees . A letter from the Head of Department proving the participant’s student status must accompany each student registration. This letter has to be faxed to the ESHRE Central Office (+32 2 269 56 00) or sent by email (info@eshre.eu).
Deadline early registration: 31 August 2012. Registrations can only be validated and confirmed when accompanied by payment. Please make sure ESHRE receives payment by this date. Only participants who register before this date, will receive a box with the course material. Participants registered after this date will received the same course material, but without the box.
PLEASE NOTE! The preferred methods of payment are either by bank transfer or credit card. Cheques and bank drafts will not be accepted.

All cancellations should be made in writing. An administrative fee of 25 Euro will be charged for all cancellations. Cancellations received after 14 August 2012 will not be refunded.
Participants can only obtain a certificate of attendance after completing the online evaluation. After the course, ESHRE will send an email with an URL where to complete this evaluation.

A number of hotel rooms have been blocked at the Radisson Blu Hotel (venue of the campus course). Room rates are 150 Euro for a single room and 160 Euro for a double room.
