Course description including main topics

Aim- A two day course covering the principles of research and how to apply this to practice. The first day will cover types of research including Quantative, Qualative and Action research.  The second session would cover an introduction to statistics followed by the skills needed to write an abstract and paper, reviewing abstracts and presentation skills.

We would offer an interactive session whereby delegates would be split in to groups with similar interests where they could discuss and work on research ideas.

The aim for ESHRE is be to increase the number and quality of abstracts submitted particularly from the Paramedics, counsellors, junior scientist and junior medics.

Course objectives

At the end of the course the delegates will understand the different approaches to research and how they can apply this to their own field of practice. They will have an understanding of the principles of abstract writing and be able to critique research publications.

They will have the opportunity to discuss their individual research proposals and gain confidence to submit

Target audience

Nurses, laboratory technicians, counsellors, junior scientists and junior medics.
