Course description

Basic Course updating on Pluripotent Stem Cells (hESC and iPS)

 

Hands on workshop on Pluripotent Human and Mouse Stem Cells (Embryonic – ESC- and induced Pluripotent Stem cells- iPS- ): Derivation, culture and characterization.

 

Culture, manipulation and embryo selection

Whole embryo and Inner Mass Cell seeding (ICM)

First steps of hESC derivation hESC culture

hESC cryopreservation and thawing

hESC characterization

Cell Reprogramming (Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells, iPS)

 

 
Course objectives

The objective of the course is to provide participants with an update on the state of the art of pluripotent stem cells. 

The objective of the Workshop is to provide participants with the methodology in use for the derivation, culture and characterisation of pluripotent stem cells.

Scientists interested in derivation and culture of Pluripotent Stem Cells.

Registration

Registrations are only possible on-line. Registrations for the hands-on course are limited to 10 participants. Registrations for the basic course are limited to 35 participants. Those that register for the hands-on course are automatically registered for the basic course. For availability of places, please check the calendar.

 

The following fees apply:

 

Basic Course (8 November 2010)

1. Members of ESHRE = 350 Euro

2. Non-members of ESHRE = 450 Euro

 

Basic Course (8 November 2010) + Hands-on Course (9-12 November 2010)

1. Members of ESHRE = 2000 Euro

2. Non-members of ESHRE = 2200 Euro

 

PLEASE NOTE! The preferred methods of payment are either by bank transfer or credit card. Cheques and bank drafts will not be accepted.

 

Registration fees include:

- Attendance to the sessions

- Symposium syllabus

- Lunch

- Coffee breaks

- Certificate of attendance

 

Deadline pre-registration: 3 November 2010. Registrations can only be validated and confirmed when accompanied by payment. Please make sure we receive payment by this date.

 

 
Cancellation policy

All cancellations should be made in writing. An administrative fee of 25 Euro will be charged for all cancellations. Cancellations received after 15 October 2010 will not be refunded.
