Description: Psychologist – Infertility Counsellor Medical Sociologist – Reproduction and HIV Infection specialist Adjunct Professor in Psychology Specialised on issues of health and illness within the contexts of medical sociology and counselling psychology – with a focus on HIV infection and reproduction. Offering a 14-plus years of experience in influencing diverse, cross-functional teams to achieve objectives and meet critical deadlines in fast-paced environments; demonstrated ability to do that via research, teaching, clinical and voluntary work across countries and cultures. Description: Bachelor degree in Medicine and Surgery magna cum laude at the University of Palermo (Italy) and Specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology magna cum laude at the same University. Since September 2009 enrolled in the Master in Reproduction and Development in Bristol. In 1985 I moved to Belgium where I worked at the Pathological Biochemistry Department of the University of Leuven in the field of AMH and its possible use in cancer. In 1988 I joined the team of Prof. Stefan Gordts (Leuven, Belgium)one of the pioneers in infertility. Since then I never abandoned the Reproductive field. I published papers on International Journals on embryo cryopreservation and in this field I have got a huge experience. My competence covers all the different aspects of the ART techniques and now the Bristol experience is making my knowledge wider. I speak fluently English (IELTS certificate achieved with a score of 7,5/10) and French. I learned also Dutch. I am full of enthusiasm and I like team work.
