Paola Vigano’ was born in 1965 in Como, Italy. In 1989, she graduated in Molecular Biology at the University of Milan and in 2000 she finished her Residency in Experimental Endocrinology at School of Pharmacy. At the University of Siena she obtained a PhD in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology. She was a fellow in Reproductive Medicine at the San Raffaele Hospital and at the Scientific Auxologic Institute in Milan.

From 1993 she has coordinated the basic research of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University of Milan in “Mangiagalli Clinic”, where the activity is devoted to molecular, endocrinologic and genetic aspects of endometrium and endometriosis. She has worked consistently in endometriosis research for over 15 years, working with most of the leading specialists of the school of Milan.

She has written more than 100 peer-reviewed International publications in the field and contributed numerous review articles and chapters.
