Fertility Quality of Life Initiative
FertiQoL is a joint initiative between ESHRE, ASRM and Serono Symposia. The aim of this project is to develop an international Quality of Life tool for people affected by fertility problems. The Psychology & Counselling SIG has contributed significantly to FertiQoL. FertiQoL has now been translated in 10 languages and is in its final validation phase. We expect the measure to become available in the near future.
International Infertility Counsellors Organisation
Our special interest group has joined their counterpart in forming an international collaboration of other like-minded groups. The inaugural meeting of the International Infertility Counsellors Organisation (IICO) took place in Madrid in 2003. IICO now has representation in more than 10 countries worldwide. The next IICO post graduate course to be held in Munich, Germany on 11th September 2010, prior to the 20th IFFS world congress. The focus will be on 'Globalisation in ART and its Impact on Psychosocial Care' and the programme features a range of international speakers / perspectives. You can download the programme here.
