Obtained his MD Degree with Award of Excellence from Valencia University in 1985 and is Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1991. Dr. Simón complete his PhD in Valencia University and received a postdoctoral grant for a Fellowship on Reproductive Immunology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University, California (USA), from 1991 to 1994.
After his return to Spain, he obtains economical support for his investigation by 10 projects granted by the Spanish Government, 4 by Valencian Government, 1 by Basque Government and 12 projects supported by International Organization and American Universities.
At present is Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Valencia (UV), Director of Fundación IVI (FIVI) and Director of the Valencia Node of the Spanish Stem Cells Bank at Príncipe Felipe Research Center (CIPF).
The scientific impact of his work has lead to the publication of 244 peer review papers in international journals with a total impact factor of 799,092, that has received 5.428 citations with a mean of 23,3 citations/paper. His H-Index is 42 Dr Simon is inventor of 7 International and 1 National Patent Applications.
