The aim of this taskforce is to gather reliable data on the number of patients who cross European borders to access ART, and on the reasons why they travel. This project is an ESHRE initiative based on a collaboration between the European IVF Monitoring consortium (EIM) and the Special Interest Group on Ethics and Law.

The next step is the finalizing of a Code of Practice for cross border care, which is well on its way after the Taskforce meeting in Munich early September 2010. Hopefully this code will be finalized by the end of 2010, so plans for implementation in 2011 can be made.

Data from the Task Force Survey are finally published in Human Reproduction in 2010

Cross Border Reproductive Care in Six European Countries
