The newly established ESHRE EUTCD Task Force met for the first time on the 22 February 2010 at the ESHRE central office in Brussels. 

The main objectives were established as:

1. Ascertain the impact of the EUTCD in Europe (questionnaires to all EU countries).
2. Establish the highest professional standards in ART
3. Encourage the best collaboration with the regulators
4. Provide ESHRE’s national representatives with documentation to help the collaboration with the competent authorities

The immediate goals of the TF are:

*Establishing through a questionnaire to all ESHRE national representatives, what the current practice in viral screening is
*Establishing the seroconversion risk in an IVF population
*Collect data for a meaningful dialogue with the competent authorities

The next meeting of this TF will be at the Annual ESHRE Meeting in Rome.
