At the annual meeting in 2008 in Barcelona the task force "Basic Reproductive Science" was founded at the initiative of ESHRE's Executive Committee. As the seeds for innovation are to be sought in basic research laboratories, the principal aim of this new Task Force is to bring the basic scientists related to Reproduction closer into all our activities.
The plans of the Task Force are to ensure that the knowledge born in the basic laboratory gets effectively communicated to our applied and clinical research programmes. The Task Force operates horizontally with all ESHRE Special Interest Groups and works in harmony with Prof S Hillier, the Editor in Chief of Molecular Human Reproduction.
