The Task Force on management of IVF units will be recognised as a forum which promotes interest in, and understanding of, relevant management topics with the aim to:
- to support the ESHRE members in organising their IVF units and in
broadening their management expertise
- to call the attention of politicians and policy makers to IVF specific
management issues
The TF management will do this through:
- discussing management topics related to the organisation of IVF units;
- defining relevant topics and differentiating between management issues of
common interest and centre-specific management questions;
- exchanging relevant management data such as organisation structure,
balanced score cards and standard procedures;
- performing benchmarks between IVF units;
- promoting interaction and exchanging experience with the ESHRE
interest groups;
- inviting external management experts for selected topics;
- developing guidelines and recommendations on selected management topics;
- providing ESHRE members with useful and practical management advice;
- develop communication systems (internal and external).
The TF management will operate with respect to the corporate governance of each ESHRE member. The TF strongly believes that the quality, motivation and performance of the medical doctors and employees are the key factors in achieving successful IVF units. We promote an organizational structure and culture which is focusing on employee involvement, open communication, teamwork and cooperation. Key values for the TF management include integrity, respect, service orientation, commitment, involvement and excellence.
