How to become a member of the
Psychology & Counselling Special Interest Group

The Psychology & Counselling Special Interest Group consists of many members. As both a European and international society, members of the Psychology & Counselling Special Interest Group come from a variety of countries. In addition members come from a variety of professions. Founding members included a broad range of professionals (e.g. psychologists, counsellors, social scientists, physicians, social workers, nurses and people experiencing infertility). This diversity continues today.

Membership diversity is beneficial in several ways:

  • Diversity ensures that the perspective of different people involved in reproductive health is represented in the activities of the Special Interest Group.
  • Diversity ensures that information developed by the group is disseminated to as wide an audience as possible.
  • Diversity facilitates an interdisciplinary exchange and thus communication between the different professionals involved in this field.

Members of the Psychology & Counselling Special Interest Group are members of the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). To become a member of ESHRE individuals must be recommended to (honorary members) or elected by (full and student members) the Executive Committee of ESHRE. Application forms to become members are available on the ESHRE site.

Once a member of ESHRE individuals can join the Psychology & Counselling Special Interest Group for free.
