Stresa/Lake Maggiore is situated off the A26 motorway, 62 miles NW of Milan.

Cars can exit the motorway at "Carpugnino" and follow the signs down to Stresa. You will enter Stresa along Via Carducci (see map above) and to reach the lakefront simply turn right at the traffic lights into Via Duchessa di Genova.

By coach and coming from the north (Switzerland) you should exit at "Baveno" and follow the signs for Stresa (right at the roundabout) and you will enter Stresa along the lakeside road.

By coach and coming from Milan you can exit at "Arona" and follow the signs to Arona/Stresa along the lakeside road SS23.

by Train

Stresa is on the main line between Milan and Domodossola. The station is a 10 minute walk from the lakefront. Arriving from Milan the trains depart mainly from Milano Centrale station but also from Porto Garibaldi station. Train times can be found on the www.Trenitalia.com website.
