HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH

// Another well attended Annual Meeting

Attendance at this year’s Annual Meeting reaffirmed the attraction of ESHRE events; 8652 delegates took part in the main scientific programme, ranking Munich in fourth place in attendance after London, Rome and Istanbul.

Also evident is the increasing internationalisation of the meeting. ESHRE was created for European doctors and scientists. But after 30 Annual Meetings, European delegates now represent just 55% of total attendance. Four non-European countries were represented in the top ten participating nations (India, China, Russia and the USA), while the three first countries represented were Italy, Spain and the UK.

Participation in the Munich precongress courses reached a total of 1990, the second highest attendance on record.
