To allow participants to read the abstracts and view the programme of the 34th Annual Meeting in Barcelona, ESHRE will offer several options :

- An app for tablets and smartphones
- An online itinerary
- The web pages dedicated to the programme, where the abstract book will become available as a PDF file

Congress badges should be worn by all participants at all times during the congress, during the Precongress Courses, in the exhibit area and within other areas of the congress centre as well as during social activities. Only participants wearing their congress badge will be admitted to the scientific sessions, to the exhibition and to the social events.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Please note that if you lose or misplace your badge, you will be required to pay an extra administrative fee of € 50 to have a new badge issued.

Six presentations at ESHRE 2018 will be selected and rewarded with a prize of EURO 2,000.

Children below 18 years old are not allowed in the venue.

In July the average daytime temperatures generally hover around 27°C (that is about 81°F) whereas the average minimum temperatures tend to drop down to 19°C (that is about 66°F). Barcelona is also often prone to heat waves in July and August, so make sure to stay in the shade and drink plenty of water. Approval of the Precongress Courses and of the Annual Meeting programme for continuing medical education (CME) credits has been applied for with the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. 
The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). 
ESHRE will not apply for CME for individual countries (i.e. only CME credits with EACCME will be applied for).

 

Main Programme - ESHRE's 34th Congress Barcelona, Spain, 02/07/2018-04/07/2018 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 17 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

Precongress Courses 1 and 15 have been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

Precongress Courses 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 16 have been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 6 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).


A technical exhibition of pharmaceutical, surgical and laboratory products will be organized, and will be located in the exhibition area of the congress centre. The exhibition will be officially opened with the traditional welcome reception at 8 p.m. on Sunday, 1 July 2018 immediately following the Opening Ceremony of the Annual Meeting.

 

The exhibit hall will be open to visitors on the following dates/time:

Sunday, 1 July 2018 from 20:00 to 22:00/23:00
Monday, 2 July 2018 from 08:30 a.m. to 17:00
Tuesday, 3 July 2018 from 08:30 a.m. to 17:00
Wednesday, 4 July 2018 from 08:30 a.m. to 14:00*

ESHRE does not accept liability for individual medical, travel or personal insurance, and participants are strongly advised to take out their own personal insurance in their country of origin. Participation in all excursions, tours etc. is at personal risk.

The aim of ESHRE is to provide a forum for the exchange and discussion of new clinical and scientific ideas. The Society, in good faith, assumes that all participants will respect the non-political nature of our annual meeting.

The registration desk will be located in the entrance hall of the congress center and will be open at the following hours.

Smoking is prohibited in indoor public places and workplaces and on public transportation. Limited exceptions to the smoking ban are provided for designated hotel guest rooms. There are also some limited restrictions on smoking in outdoor public places, such as in playgrounds and at open spaces in health facilities. Sub-national jurisdictions may enact smoke free laws that are more stringent than the national law.

Barcelona is in the Central European Time Zone. Central European Standard Time (CET) is 1 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+1).

Registered participants for the main programme and all exhibitors will receive a transportation voucher. This voucher can be exchanged for a “3 day Barcelona travel card” at the transportation ticket in the registration hall (offer valid while stocks last).
