Procedure
• Testing at the clinic for intended parents (IPs)
genetic screening, viral screening, STDs further testing for any other infectious diseases according to recent travel history
The sperm will then need to be quarantined for 6 months and blood tests repeated following any quarantine period.
 Alternatively, it is possible to create embryos and quarantine the actual embryos
Procedure
• Testing at the clinic for surrogates
The surrogate and her partner have initial consultation; blood will be screened for infectious diseases
May also be required to have a saline infusion sonogram scan (SIS)
