 Diagnosis of miscarriage
Criteria for diagnosis MSD>/=25mm and no embryo
Absence of embryo with cardiac activity>/=2 weeks after visualisation of a gestation sac without yolk sac
Absence of embryo with cardiac activity>/= 11 days after visualisation of a gestation sac with a yolk sac
CRL>/= 7mm and no fetal heartbeat
Criteria for uncertain viability MSD 16‐24mm and no embryo
Absence of embryo with cardiac activity 7‐ 13days after US showing gestation sac without yolk sac. Check after 1 week
Absence of embryo with cardiac activity 7‐ 10days after US showing gestation sac with a yolk sac. Check after 1 week
Absence of an embryo more than 6 weeks after LMP
Empty sac
Enlarged yolk sac and no FHB
Small gestation sac compared to the embryo Double sac sign
CRL<7mm and no FHB
       Prospective evaluation of new guidelines and determining safe interval for repeat ultrasound
