   Obstetric Complications in PCOS
o Preterm Delivery
OR 1.52 ( CI 1.22 – 1.90)
whether preterm birth (PTB) was spontaneous or induced was generally not reported in these studies
 o Cesarean Section OR 1.25 ( CI 1.15 – 1.36)
indications for CS deliveries among study participants might have contributed to contradictory results.
  Adverse neonatal outcomes in PCOS
o SGA/ IUGR/ Low Birth Weight
when only higher validity studies were analysed, no significant difference was found
o Risk of Admission to NICU OR 2.3 ( CI 1.4 – 3.8)
   • The higher proportion of prematurity and its related disorders such as respiratory distress syndrome increase the risk of being admitted to NICU
• However, some results might be attributed to routine admission for infants born to mothers with GDM which was more prevalent in women with PCOS
