ROLE OF ENDOMETRIAL SCRATCHING IN IMPLATATION IMPROVEMENT
- The initial hypothesis: endometrial scratching in the previous or even present cycle could improve IVF results
- Supposed mechanism:
Increased inflammatory infiltration
Local production of IL-6 and tnf-alpha
Unvealing/renewing adhesivity proteins at the endometrium surface
-The clinical results are controversial:
-Studies in favor: Singh et al 2015; Lensen 2016; Potdar 2012; Nastri et al 2015* -Studies against/ no benefit: Panagiotopoulou et al 2015; Salehpour et al 2016; Tk et al 2017; Yeung T et al 2014
