Learning objectives
• Discussion session: presentation of arguments in favor of the view in the title.
• Testing may make donor conception (DC) slightly safer; making such tests part of gamete donor programs is acceptable/ advisable if the impact of the relevant disorder could be large and there are no significant adverse consequences for the donor or the practice of DC.
• Expanded Universal Carrier Screening (EUCS) with genetic matching between donors and recipients may under conditions be proportional. One condition is that it should be optional.
