  Introducing more Spermcomet Scores
Fertile men set a very high threshold
Unlike the heterogeneity of even a fertile man’s semen analysis,
most of their sperm have little DNA damage
Below these thresholds
• increased risk of infertility
• lower success rate by IVF
• lower success rate by ICSI
• increased risk of miscarriage

   Using more SpermComet Scores to increase sensitivity
ACS = Average Comet Score (mean of all comets scored) LCS = Low Comet Score
HCS = High Comet Score
 COMET PLOT FOR TYPICAL FERTILE MAN
 25
LCS = 90% 20
15 10 5 0
ACS = 16%
HCS = 1%
             COMET SCORE = DNA DAMAGE PER SPERM (%)
 COMET PLOT FOR TYPICAL INFERTILE MAN

LCS = 59% 20

ACS = 32%
  HCS = 9%
           COMET SCORE = DNA DAMAGE PER SPERM (%)
