 medical history
 of the donor
 of the donor’s family (first degree relatives)
 genetic tests for specific common disorders
 for all donors (eg ASRM: cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy)  for high risk populations (eg sickle cell anemia, Tay‐Sachs disease)
 standard karyotyping? (France, UK: yes; US, Netherlands, Germany: no)
