 Somatic mutations in endometriosis
• Loss of heterozygosity on chr 17/TP53 in advanced endometriosis (Bischoff et al., 2002)
• Small increased risk for ovarian cancer (clear-cell, endometrioid), non-hodgkin’s lymphoma (e.g. Somigliana et l. 2006; Poole et al. 2017).
• Biologically, but not clinically, relevant
• Few previous studies conducted targeted mutation analysis in endometriosis- associated ovarian cancer (e.g. Wiegand 2010, Yamamoto, 2011)
