  The OoC/OtC ESHRE study (2017)
• Knowledge gap: how much stimulation is performed for fertility preservation in a wide sense*, what is known on storage and use (eg EIM data 2014, 3404 FOR specifically for cryopreservation)
• Aim of the study: obtain information and data about Oocyte Cryopreservation (OoC) and ovarian tissue (OtC) practice, frequency and indications in Europe, re-imbursment policies
• Provide evidence to argue the need for full(er) data register through ESHRE (and possible other collaborations)
• Laws and regulations re cryopreservation (access, who consents, duration) and use
Human Reproduction Open,pp. 1–9, 2017, doi:10.1093/hropen/hox003, ESHREPAGES * Whatever the indications
EIM reports FOR (where use thawed oocytes )
• Data EIM 2011 (pub 2015) 5237 FOR cycles, number of intiated or
feezing cycles not recorded
• Data EIM 2012 (pub 2016) 5549
• Data 2013 (pub 2017) FOR (ED not included), recorded by 12 countries with a total of 6611 thawing cycles, 5547 transfers, 2191 pregnancies and 1049 deliveries; 86.9% was performed in Italy and Spain (2013)
• Data 2014 (pub 2018): 3404 FOR of cycles performed specifically for cryopreservation; Compared to 2013, all treatment modalities numbers have increased, except frozen oocyte replacement (FOR)
• EIM plans: hope to present specific data in 2020
