DIAGNOSIS OF TUBAL PATENCY ‐ Chlamydia Antibody Test (CAT): limited clinical utility. To be offered before undergoing uterine instrumentation. ‐ Hysterosalpingography (HSG): the traditional and standard method for evaluating tubal patency and may offer some therapeutic benefit. HSG can document proximal and distal tubal occlusion, demonstrate salpingitis isthmica nodosa, reveal tubal architectural detail of potential prognostic value, and may suggest the presence of fimbrial phimosis or peritubular adhesions. ‐ Hystero‐contrast‐sono‐ graphy or SIS (saline infusione sonography): test to determine tubal patency using fluid and ultrasound.
