• To study if there is any difference in the transmission rate of HIV 1 – Subtype C, v/s HIV- subtype B. as most of the research has been done on Subtype B.
• Toevaluatepresenceofvirusinwashedsamplesfrom HIV-1 infected men and its correlation with plasma viral load levels.
• To evaluate the utility of residual sperm screening for
treating infertility in HIV-1 infected men

Inclusion criteria:
• SampleSize:N=100;
• HIV-1infectedMales(18andabove),receivinganti-
retroviral therapy.
• Viralloadlessthan1000copies/ml(3log10)
Exclusion Criteria:
• Untreated HIV associated co-infections
• HIV-2ofHIV-1/HIV-2duallyinfectedindividuals.
