Immediately Before Transfer: Patient confirmation
• Confirmation of patient ID
✓Visual confirmation from written ID (e.g. hospital bracelet) ✓Ask patient to state her name and date of birth
✓Tell her how many embryos she is going to have transferred ✓Ask her to confirm that number
• Surgicalpauseconductedbyphysician
Immediately Before Transfer: Loading the catheter
• Confirmation of dish ID by embryologist AND physician
• Load catheter with speed and precision at low power magnification
• Embryo(s) are loaded in 1 cm of medium
