 CONGRESS COURSE 10
Sunday, 23 June 2019 I Room Strauss 2
Chromosomal mosaicism in human embryos: Incidence, prevalence, diagnostic possibilities and clinical management in PGT-A cycles
Organised by Special Interest Group Reproductive Genetics
COURSE COORDINATORS
Georgia Kakourou (Greece), Claudia Spits (Belgium), Antonio Capalbo (Itlay), Francesco Fiorentino (Italy), Filippo Zambelli (Italy)
COURSE TYPE
Advanced
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course will provide a preliminary overview about the human aneuploidies, provide an update on existing data on the mosaicism features in the preimplantation, prenatal and postnatal period, detailed information about the detection possibilities and clinical management of chromosomal mosaicism in PGT-A cycles.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Reproductive geneticists, embryologists, gynaecologists, researchers, ethicists and professionals working in ART and reproductive medicine
EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES
The rapid developments in molecular genetics, including advanced technologies and a wealth of data that have been obtained particular in the last years demand to inform clinicians, embryologists, geneticists and all involved in ART on the relevance and clinical application of information. The course will provide an overview in a series of lectures by experts in the field and by offering a platform for discussions and interactions between participants and faculty.
