COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will assist ESHRE members who have already have some understanding of systematic reviews and evidence based medicine to write a systematic review for treatment or diagnostic tests. There will be interactive group activities. The course will be limited to 50 people.
TARGET AUDIENCE
All ESHRE members who are interested in authoring systematic reviews in reproductive medicine. This includes clinicians, psychologists, laboratory scientists, and consumers.
EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES
No formal needs assessment has been undertaken but the Cochrane Gynaecology and Fertility Group is contacted almost every day with requests for help in writing systematic reviews. We currently have nearly 1000 authors and the majority of them are Europe based. We require authors to undertake training. We do have a training programme but for many in Europe it is not accessible or it is not targeted for reproductive medicine reviews. We also have a priority list of systematic reviews that await authors who have completed the training.
