 CONCLUSIONS
• The very recent finding that SSCs isolated from adult human testis and in vitro co-cultured with somatic testicular cells differentiate to spermatids opens new possibilities in the field of reproductive and regenerative medicine
• SSC isolation, propagation, preservation and autotransplantation is a potential strategy to restore fertility in prepubertal patients undergoing chemiotherapy
• The derivation of functional sperm from patient- specific iPSCs is a challenge for the future
