 Non‐invasive diagnosis of endometriosis is needed
Endometriosis affects 6% to 10% of reporoductive age women.
There is delay in diagnosis of up to 9 years.
Patients have decreased quality of life due to severe pain and infertility. Endometriosis recurs in 20% to 40% of patients after surgical treatment. Endometriosis is associated with significant economic burden:
‐ 78% of patients lose 5.3 days of work/month,
‐ average total cost of 9579 EUR per woman/year.
