Course description
Couple infertility is a global health issue and male factor contributes to about half of cases. However, the correct care and treatment for infertile men remains a challenge. This campus aims to provide clinicians with a comprehensive understanding of the causes and best approaches to management, from diagnosis to tailored medical or surgical treatment. In particular, the course will focus on the management of complex causes of male infertility.
Target audience
Andrologists, urologists, gynaecologists, embryologists, reproductive endocrinologists, clinicians in reproductive medicine and other personnel involved in reproductive medicine and ART.
Educational needs and expected educational outcomes
The challenges facing healthcare professionals include include how to reach a correct diagnosis, manage tricky cases and perform tailored treatments both surgical and medical.
At the end of the course, the participants should have acquired the knowlege to perform an accurate diagnosis based on current evidence, and tounderstand the complex causes of male infertility. They will be able to take a personalised approach to each patient and have learned how to integrate female and male management in the fertility clinic. Based on best-practice, those taking part will have a greater chance of improving the potential of couple fertility, both natural and ART-related.

The course will present up-to-date knowledge in the management of the infertile male, from a correct diagnosis to a tailored medical and/or surgical treatment, focusing on complex causes of male infertility, as a part of an integrated management of the infertile couple.
