The course is addressed to health care professionals in the field of PGT who wish to learn about genetic counseling. Genetic counseling in PGT requires specific skills, which are hardly included in the standard courses of graduate schools or in postgraduate training courses. The course will be divided into three half-day sessions, in which participants will learn the basic concepts and characteristics of genetic counseling in PGT, genetic counseling at the different stages of PGT, genetic counseling in case of special indications such as exclusion testing or HLA typing, and the relevance of the psychological support. In addition, there will be technical sessions with an update of technologies for PGT-M, PGT-SR and PGT-A, as well as sessions on ethics. The course should also cover more advanced genetic counselling in PGT: speakers will be asked to prepare difficult clinical cases for discussions in an interactive way with the participants. Participants will also be asked to submit special cases from which a number can be selected for oral presentation and discussion during the campus.
