Learning objectives
Participants will be able to identify and apply evidence-based guidance for counselling and managing the fertility of male patients of reproductive age when prescribing medications.
Description
The impact on male fertility of the main common drugs prescribed in patients of reproductive age will be reviewed. Guidelines for fertility management will be provided, when available. To note, the impact of cytotoxic drugs such as chemotherapy will not be addressed.
Expected educational outcomes
In men trying to conceive and/or with future parental project, you will know which drugs may impact fertility, and when you should prescribe sperm banking/contraception/therapeutic window or substitution.
Target audience
Physicians who are prescribing medications to men of reproductive age, andrologists, gynaecologists and embryologists who are managing male fertility.
