The Council of Europe
The Council of Europe, founded in 1949, is the oldest intergovernmental organization in Europe and now numbers 47 Member States representing about 800 million Europeans.
Totally independent from the European Union, the two entities have close collaboration in domains of common interest: EDQM and CD-P-TO.

CD-P-TO is the EDQM committee that oversees the development of guidance and projects on organs, tissues and cells.
