Information for exam applicants

The online application period for the 2026 exam will be open from 15 January 2026 (13:00 CET) until 31 March 2026 (13:00 CEST)

In summary, please find below the key criteria:

• ESHRE Nurses & Midwives Certification is only available to active ESHRE members. Please ensure your membership is active during the application process until publication of results.
  
  To become an ESHRE member, please go to our website and login to your account.
  
  If you don’t have an account in our database yet, please create one here first. You will receive your login details by e-mail.
  
  
• Your academic qualification (degree) must be validated by NUFFIC prior to submitting your application (minimum academic requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery which requires a minimum of 3 years study with valid certificate from a university or college).
  
  
• Please note that there is a fee of 50 Euros (excl. VAT) for validation.
  
  
• Applications for Nuffic validation can be submitted at any time via https://aqv.eshre.eu/. You must at least hold a bachelor’s degree. Please note that the process to obtain Nuffic validation can take up to 6 weeks.
  
  
• Once your degree(s) has been validated, you can proceed to Step 2.
  
  
• Please refer to our Rules & Requirements to complete your exam application, The version for the 2026 exam will be available by the end of November.
  
  
• Applicants will be informed by the end of June 2026 whether their application to sit the exam has been accepted or not.
  
  
• The next online Nurses & Midwives exam will be held on Friday 23 October 2026.
