Clarisa Gracia

Clarisa Gracia, MD, MSCE, is the Nancy Wolfson Professor and Division Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree from State University of New York at Buffalo and completed her residency and fellowship and received a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Gracia has practiced as a reproductive endocrinologist at Penn Fertility Care since 2004.She established the Fertility Preservation at Penn and her research has been focused on studying the reproductive and endocrine complications associated with cancer treatments. She has been actively involved in the American Society of Reproductive Medicine in various capacities over the years including member and consulting epidemiologist for the practice committee, scientific program chair for the annual meeting, and previous member of the board of directors.

Lawrence Layman

Dr. Lawrence C. Layman is the Robert B. Greenblatt, M.D. Distinguished Chair in Endocrinology, Vice Chair, Professor & Chief of the Section of Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility, & Genetics in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, completed residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Louisville and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrine and Genetics at the Medical College of Georgia. He is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology; Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility; Clinical Genetics; and Clinical Molecular Genetics. He holds joint appointments in the Department of Neuroscience & Regenerative Medicine, the Department of Physiology, and the Graduate School. He is Co-Director of the MD/PhD Program and Program Director for the REI Fellowship at MCG. Dr. Layman is a physician-scientist who actively sees patients and studies genetic aspects of puberty and reproduction in his molecular endocrinology laboratory, funded continuously by the NIH from 1997-2017 (grant entitled “Genetics of delayed puberty”). His current R01 is entitled “The genetics of mullerian development.” Research contributions include the identification of human mutations in patients with pubertal disorders and infertility including the GNRHR, FSHB, CHD7, WDR11, NSMF, and ESR1 genes and their associated phenotypes. Clinical interests include reproductive endocrinology, pubertal disorders, developmental abnormalities of the reproductive tract, male hypogonadism/infertility, IVF, and genetics. He has also been actively involved in student training at undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels; he served on the Reproductive Endocrine Division of the American Board of Ob/Gyn and gave oral REI exams for more than 20 years. He is the past president of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, a member of the Association of American Physicians, and in 2019 he received the Distinguished Researcher Award from American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Guido Pennings

Guido Pennings: full professor of ethics and bioethics at Ghent University (Belgium) where he is also the director of the Bioethics Institute Ghent (BIG). He has published many articles and book chapters mainly on ethical problems associated with medically assisted reproduction and genetics.
He was Affiliate Lecturer in the Faculty of Politics, Psychology, Sociology and International Studies at Cambridge University from 2009 till 2013 and is Guest Professor on “Ethics in Reproductive Medicine” at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Free University Brussels since 2009.

Peter N. Schlegel

Peter N. Schlegel, M.D., is James J. Colt Professor and Chairman in the Department of Urology, Professor of Reproductive Medicine and E Darracott Vaughan Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at Weill Cornell Medical College. He has been recognized for his clinical and research activities in over 300 peer-reviewed publications as well as by numerous national and international awards, including the Established Clinician Award from ESHRE, The Barringer Medal from the GU Surgeons and the Maurice Greenberg Distinguished Service Award. His contributions to patient care were also recognized by RESOLVE (Barbara Eck Manning Founders Award) in 2018. He is Immediate Past President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and he is a former trustee of the American Board of Urology.

Filippo Maria Ubaldi

Filippo Maria Ubaldi is Medical Doctor, Clinical Director at the GENERA Centres for Reproductive Medicine in Rome, Marostica, Umbertide and Naples, Italy.
With academic degrees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Masters in Andrology and Reproductive Medicine, PhD at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Andrology and Reproductive Medicine, he is also intensely dedicated to educational, editorial and practitioner activities.
Co-author of 8 books on the topic of Reproductive Medicine, author and co-author of 176 scientific papers with Scopus H-index of 48. Editor of the treaty on Reproductive Medicine ‘Medicina della Riproduzione Umana’ published in Italy in 2010.
Invited as speaker at 440 National and International congresses on the topic of Reproductive Medicine and has been Scientific Coordinator of 85 congresses and courses. Member of the ESHRE Executive Committee during 2005-2009, he has been Chairman of the 26th ESHRE Annual Meeting held in Rome in June 2010.
In 2014 and 2019 he received the Italian National Scientific License as full Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and between 2014-2015 has been member of the technical advisory board established by the Ministry of Health on heterologous fertilization. Presently is Chairman of the Italian Society of Fertility and Sterility.

 

 

Adam Watkins

 

 


Adam Watkins

Dr Watkins conducted his Ph.D and post doctoral research within the laboratory of Professor Tom Fleming at the University of Southampton investigating the impact of mouse embryo culture and maternal diet on long-term adult health. In 2011, Dr Watkins was awarded a University of Nottingham Advanced Research Fellowship to investigate the impact of paternal nutrition on sperm quality and adult offspring cardiovascular and metabolic health. Following this, Dr Watkins continued his paternal programming research at Aston University defining the sperm and seminal fluid specific mechanisms linking paternal diet with offspring health. In 2017, Dr Watkins became an Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham where he continues to determine how paternal health affects the well-being of his offspring.
