ESHRE Webinar
organised by the ESHRE Special Interest Group Safety Quality in ART
Type
Advanced
Learning objectives
- Understand how research integrity underpins data quality and patient safety
- Explore the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on scientific publishing and evidence reliability
- Recognise ethical challenges linked to data management and AI-assisted research
- Identify strategies to promote transparency and trust in reproductive science
Course description
Scientific progress relies on trust - in data, in researchers, and in the evidence published. This webinar will explore how research integrity and transparent data practices directly affect patient safety, from laboratory research to clinical outcomes. It will also address the growing influence of AI on scientific publishing, highlighting both its potential and its risks for evidence quality and authorship ethics.
Target audience
Clinicians, clinical embryologists, reproductive scientists, researchers, and editors
Needs assessment
The increasing complexity of research in reproductive medicine requires constant attention to data integrity, transparency, and ethical standards. At the same time, the rapid introduction of AI in scientific publishing raises new challenges related to reliability, authorship, and accountability. There is, therefore a clear educational need to strengthen awareness of research integrity principles, promote responsible data management, and ensure that technological innovation continues to serve patient safety and scientific credibility.
Expected educational outcomes
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how research integrity and transparent data practices support patient safety.
