Dr Verena Nordhoff

Dr. Nordhoff has studied Biology at the Westfälische-Wilhelms-Universität (WWU) in Münster. She was awarded her PhD from the WWU in 1999. After finishing her PhD she moved for a postdoc to USA. After returning to Münster she joined the IVF-lab at the Institute of Reproductive Medicine as senior clinical embryologist. Her scientific interest lies in optimizing sperm selection methods for immotile sperm especially in severe OAT and TESE patients, as well as in the identification of markers for oocyte quality and the influence of culture media on embryo development in mice. She is currently Associate Editor of Human Reproduction Update and member of the Committee of National Representatives of ESHRE.
