Quality management (QM) is an integrated philosophy of management based on a continuous improvement in the quality of services and processes. Its ultimate goal is to provide best practice. The concept of QM in ART had been around for many years - indeed, since the European Tissue and Cells Directive provided a framework to regulate tissue handling in Europe. Clearly, QM is mostly the task of the quality management team, although it is extremely important that it becomes completely embedded within the full professional ART workforce . From time to time it is useful to provide training in the principles of QM and to discuss and share best practice. This course will recapitulate old concepts and bring new practical insights. It will offer an update on the latest guidelines, key performance indicators (KPIs) and best clinical practice papers of ESHRE in line with QM requirements. Finally, the new dimension to this Campus course is a practical element. There will be interactive sessions where delegates have the opportunity to troubleshoot their own case scenarios with the experts to gain the hands-on element of QM.
