ESHRE Good Practice Recommendation for validation in the IVF laboratory

Open call for applications

ESHRE invites applications to join a new Working Group to develop Good Practice Recommendations on Validation in the IVF Laboratory. The project aims to provide IVF laboratories with a structured, practical and risk-based framework for assessing and validating changes before and after implementation in the IVF laboratory.

To form a multidisciplinary Working Group, ESHRE particularly welcomes applications from Europe-based professionals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

1. Embryologist with experience in clinical embryology and practical implementation of new products, procedures or process changes in IVF laboratories.
2. Quality manager with expertise in IVF laboratory quality management, quality assurance, accreditation and validation including familiarity with relevant ISO standards and European regulatory requirements.
3. Andrologist with experience in andrology laboratory procedures.
4. Policy officer with expertise in European regulatory or policy aspects relevant to IVF laboratory quality and process validation.

The final composition of the group will be determined by ESHRE, taking into consideration expertise, geographical representation, and balance within the group. Working group members will be expected to actively contribute to several online meetings over a period of 12-18 months and one in-person meeting, review documents, and support the drafting and revision of project outputs.
