The ESHRE Special Interest Group in Embryology published the Atlas of Embryology in 2000 as a supplement to Human Reproduction. This initiative was received with acclaim and has become a very valuable reference that is used by embryologists all over the world.
We have undertaken to produce a new edition that completely updates the first edition and have chosen to publish it as an online document that provides the additional advantages of flexibility for revision and ease of consultation.
ESHRE’s Executive Committee in 2006 under the guidance of former Chairman Arne Sunde set up a group to define a scheme for certification of clinical embryologists. The aim is to certify competence of clinical embryologists working in IVF and to develop a formal recognition for embryologists. This website provides information for applicants regarding timelines and tracks. Application forms, log books, curriculum, and sample exams papers.
