Fields of interest

The SIGEP is interested in normal and abnormal development of early pregnancy from the embryonic stage towards the end of first trimester of pregnancy. The SIGEP addresses all aspects of early pregnancy: embryology, endocrinology, genetics, gynaecology, immunology, infertility, obstetrics, pathology, prenatal medicine, reproduction, teratology and ultrasound.

 

Mission statement

The aim of SIGEP is to provide a clinical and scientific link between the medical fields of infertility, human reproduction, prenatal diagnosis and fetal medicine.

 

General goals

To create a forum for discussion, joined projects, education and exchange of information from groups working in the interesting field of early pregnancy.
To serve as a link between research on infertility and IVF on one side, and feto-maternal medicine on the other.
To advise the executive committee of ESHRE: reviewers, editors, referees and chairman
To take part in the scientific committee of ESHRE: sessions, topics, speakers, review abstracts.
