Dr Giselle Newton is a leading Australian expert on how digital platforms shape assisted reproduction and Research Fellow at the Centre for Digital Cultures and Societies at the University of Queensland, Australia. Giselle is a digital health sociologist whose research spans donor-conceived people's use of digital technologies, direct-to-consumer DNA testing, digital advertising for fertility treatments and services, and online sperm donation. As a donor-conceived woman, her research is grounded in advocacy. She regularly gives evidence to legislative reviews, inquiries and consultations, and contributes to public debate.
