Course description

This Precongress Course will provide a comprehensive and up-to-date exploration of the complex relationship between adenomyosis, endometriosis, and infertility. Experts from across Europe will present the latest insights into the biological and molecular mechanisms underlying infertility in these conditions, with a focus on both the endometrial environment and uterine functionality.

Educational needs and expected outcomes

Through a combination of lectures and moderated discussions, the course will address:

  • Address diagnostic challenges, in identifying endometrial profile differences and similarities between adenomyosis and endometriosis
  • Explore clinical management strategies for various forms of endometriosis (peritoneal endometriosis, endometriomas, deep endometriosis) and adenomyosis
  • A critical look at staging, ART approaches, and emerging perspectives in treatment.
  • Understand the pathophysiological mechanisms linking adenomyosis and endometriosis to infertility
  • Differentiate the endometrial characteristics in patients with adenomyosis and endometriosis.
  • Evaluate the impact of these conditions on oocyte quality, embryo development, and uterine receptivity
  • Apply evidence-based strategies for managing infertility in various manifestations of endometriosis and adenomyosis.
  • Critically assess current approaches to staging and ART in light of emerging research

Innovative aspects of the course

  • Dual Focus: integrates adenomyosis and endometriosis in one comprehensive fertility-focused course.
  • Whole-System View: covers endometrium, oocyte, embryo, and uterus – not just lesions.
  • Practical Management: offers real-world strategies for different endometriosis subtypes.
  • Expert Exchange: features a multidisciplinary faculty from top European centres.
  • Forward-Thinking: challenges current ART and staging approaches with emerging insights.

Target audience

Reproductive medicine specialists, gynaecologists, fertility clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals involved in the management of endometriosis and adenomyosis
